Context
A few years ago I had the great opportunity to be part of the digital transformation of Itaú Unibanco - the largest bank in Latin America.
At that time, Itaú had a big tech legacy, all the systems were not integrated and were robust platforms, totally outdated and without any flexibility. These tech debts weren't allowing the company to innovate faster in terms of the creation of new features or digital products to compete with the new fintech players that were popping up in the market.
I collaborated with the product team on the entire journey of redesign and digital transformation of the main digital products from Itaú. I was responsible to define the user experience and the user interface of Itaú's web platform and the mobile app for iOS. I've created a brand new, efficient, and simplified way for the customers to onboard the app. And I've also created features for the users to check their balances, make transfers, pay bills, and more, without the need to go to a bank agency.
